Minutes of the Clintonville Public Library Board of Trustees

January 16, 2002

The regular meeting of the Clintonville Library Board was held on Wednesday at 3:50 p.m. at the Library, with Cathy Belliveau presiding.

The following members responded to roll call: Cathy Belliveau, Bev Kersten, Jerald Schoenike, Judy Zeuske, Dick Koeppen, and Tom O'Toole. Excused absent: Bernice Olk

The Open Meeting Statement.

The minutes of the December 19, 2001 regular meeting were approved as printed on motion by Tom O'Toole, seconded by Jerald Schoenike. ALL VOTING AYE.

The Financial Report and Special Accounts Report were approved as printed on motion by Bev Kersten, seconded by Judy Zeuske. ALL VOTING AYE.

The total expenses, including salaries, in the amount of $23,891.78 were allowed for payment on motion by Dick Koeppen, seconded by Tom O'Toole. ALL VOTING AYE..

The Librarian's Report was read, discussed and ordered filed.

Motion by Jerald Schoenike to donate book in memory of Peg Zachow, seconded by Bev Kersten. ALL VOTING AYE.

The $1,000 donation from Edward Boone Miller is to be put into the Trust Fund.

Motion by Jerald Schoenike, seconded by Tom O'Toole, to adopt the Emergencies/Disasters Policy. ALL VOTING AYE.

Goals and objectives were discussed. In the future it's proposed to have a representative from OWLS to help facilitate this plan.

Bernice Olk and Kathy Mitchell will draft a letter to state legislators on behalf of the Library Board in regard to the funding of public libraries.

The meeting was adjourned at 4:35 p.m. on motion by Bev Kersten, seconded by Tom O'Toole.
