Minutes of the Clintonville Public Library Board of Trustees

November 20, 2002

The regular meeting of the Clintonville Library Board was held on Wednesday, November 20, 2002 at 4:08 p.m. at the Library, with Dr. Jerald Schoenike presiding.

The following members responded to roll call: Bev Kersten, Sandy Loberg, Tom O'Toole, Jerald Schoenike, Judy Zeuske, and Cathy Belliveau (arrived 4:11 p.m.). Excused absent: Dick Koeppen Others present: Kathy Mitchell

The Open Meeting Statement.

The minutes of the October 16, 2002 regular meeting were approved as printed on motion by Bev Kersten, seconded by Tom O'Toole. ALL VOTING AYE.

The Financial Report and Special Accounts Report were approved as printed on motion by Tom O'Toole, seconded by Sandy Loberg. ALL VOTING AYE.

The total expenses, including salaries, in the amount of $20,940.28 were allowed for payment on motion by Jerald Schoenike, seconded by Sandy Loberg. ALL VOTING AYE. The Librarian's Report was read, discussed and ordered filed.

Cathy Belliveau took over the meeting at 4:11 p.m.

Motion by Tom O'Toole, seconded by Bev Kersten to direct Kathy to fill positions as they become necessary. ALL VOTING AYE. Motion carried.

Pete Oberhauser appeared before the Board to talk about displaying his sculpture - A Helping Hand. A motion by Sandy Loberg, seconded by Jerald Schoenike to accept Pete's sculpture (on loan) to be located in the adult section of the library. ALL VOTING AYE. Motion carried.

Motion by Bev Kersten, seconded by Jerald Schoenike to allow Kathy Mitchell to spend remaining monies in the 2002 budget. ALL VOTING AYE. Motion carred.

Jerald Schoenike left the meeting at 4:45.

Kathy Mitchell informed the Board that the 2003 budget has to be cut $2,975.00. There will be an increase of money from Waupaca County. Motion by Tom O'Toole, seconded by Bev Kersten to cut $1,798.00 out of operating expenses. ALL VOTING AYE. Motion carried.

Motion by Sandy Loberg, seconded by Bev Kersten to authorize Kathy Mitchell to use the remaining $1,708.00 in the 2002 Capital Improvement Budget to purchase a handicapped accessible computer table and a vacuum cleaner kit. ALL VOTING AYE. Motion carried.

The meeting was adjourned at 4:58 p.m. on motion by Bev Kersten, seconded by Sandy Loberg.
