Minutes of the Clintonville Public Library Board of Trustees

September 17, 2003

The regular meeting of the Clintonville Library Board was held on Wednesday, September 17, 2003 at 4:05 p.m. at the Library, with Jerald Schoenike presiding.

The following members responded to roll call: Virginia Federwitz, Beverly Kersten, Dick Koeppen, and Jerald Schoenike.
Excused absent: Cathy Belliveau, Sandy Loberg, Tom O'Toole,

The Open Meeting Statement.

The minutes of the August 20, 2003 regular meeting were approved as printed on motion by Dick Koeppen, seconded by Virginia Federwitz. All present voted aye. Motion carried.

The Financial Report and Special Accounts Reports were approved as printed on motion by Beverly Kersten, seconded by Jerald Schoenike. All present voted aye. Motion carried.

The total expenses, including salaries, in the amount of $25,631.89 were allowed for payment on motion by Virginia Federwitz, seconded by Dick Koeppen. All present voted aye. Motion carried.

The Librarian's Report was read, discussed and ordered filed.

Business:

Personnel Handbook. Type of employment status of regular full time employees will be changed from 37 to 36 hours which will begin immediately as approved by the board.

Computer Order. Kathy was given permission to take care of ordering a new computer and paper for printouts with the money left from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Grant.

Building and Grounds. The air conditioner has been repaired. The unit was not working and valves were put in.

Outside Bench. It is pitted and we'll be getting a replacement. We may keep the old one and will find a place for it.

Interlibrary Loans. The impact of the 2003-2004 State Budget on Interlibrary Loans was discussed. Our decision was to continue providing interlibrary loan service as in the past and pay any charges.

Capital Improvement 2003. Kathy was given permission to purchase shelves and video/DVD racks on motion by Jerald Schoenike and seconded by Dick Koeppen. All present voted aye. Motion carried.

2004 Budget. City Council will have a special budget meeting on October 7th.

The meeting was adjourned at 5:05 p.m. on motion by Virginia Federwitz, seconded by Dick Koeppen. All present voted aye. Motion carried.
