Minutes of the Clintonville Public Library Board of Trustees
July 2004
The regular meeting of the Clintonville Library Board was held on Wednesday, July 21, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. at the Library, with Cathy Belliveau presiding.
The following members responded to roll call: Cathy Belliveau, Ray Brockhaus,
Virginia Federwitz, Beverly Kersten, Sandy Loberg, and Tom O'Toole.
Excused absent: Jerald Schoenike

The Open Meeting Statement.
The minutes of the June 9, 2004 regular meeting were approved as printed on motion by Bev Kersten, seconded by Ray Brockhaus. All present voted aye. Motion carried.
The Financial Report and Special Accounts Report were approved as printed on motion by Ray Brockhaus, seconded by Tom O'Toole. All present voted aye. Motion carried.
The total expenses, including salaries, in the amount of $25,368.02 were presented.
No motion was made. The expenses will be presented again at the August meeting.
The Librarian's Report was read, discussed and ordered filed.
Business:
Lawn and Shrubs. The Waupaca County Master Gardeners are considering donating $50 and time to refurbishing the seating area outside the library. Kathy will broach the subject with the Friends to see if they can contribute financially to the project. The board gave permission to proceed with the project if approved by the Master Gardeners.
Firemen's Festival Parade. Kathy reported that Gerry Smith has built a book for the parade. Jim Sasse has volunteered his trailer. Library personnel and/or Friends of the Library will be walking along passing out brochures and information on the City Wide Read.
Music CD Settlement. The duplicate CDs will be given to the Friends for their book sale. Cathy suggested we ask people to donate extra cd jewel cases they may have.
Trust Fund Plaque. Six names are to be added at the $1,000 level and one at the $5,000 level. The board authorized funding from the savings account.
2005 Budget. Kathy reported the health insurance figure was projected to increase about 15% but now has come in at 11.5%.
Leadership Waupaca County. Kathy was given the go-ahead to apply for this program. It was felt she could make many beneficial contacts with people through the program.
Long Range Plan. It was decided since Dr. Schoenike heads the committee we should wait until he is present to set a meeting date.
Kathy shared Waupaca County library statistics.
The meeting was adjourned at 3:35 p.m. on motion by Beverly Kersten, seconded by Sandy Loberg. All present voted aye. Motion carried.
