Minutes of the Clintonville Public Library Board of Trustees
April 19, 2006
The regular meeting of the Clintonville Library Board was called to order by Beverly Kersten at 4:05 p.m. in accordance with Wisconsin Open Meeting Laws and ADA requirements. Cathy Belliveau took charge of the meeting at 4:20 p.m.
The following members responded to roll call: Virginia Federwitz, Ray Kasel, Beverly Kersten, Sandy Loberg, and Tom O’Toole. Cathy Belliveau arrived at 4:20 p.m.

Citizen’s Forum: none
Kasel moved, O’Toole seconded to approve the minutes of the March 15, 2006 regular meeting as printed. Motion carried unanimously.
Kasel moved, O’Toole seconded to approve the Financial Report and Special Accounts Report as printed. Motion carried unanimously.
O’Toole moved, Kasel seconded to approve the total expenses, including salaries, in the amount of $27,768.08. Motion carried unanimously.
The Librarian’s Report was discussed and ordered filed.

Board Members
Cathy Belliveau and Virginia Federwitz have been reappointed to the Library Board by Mayor Beggs.
Board Timeline
Director Mitchell compiled a timeline of items that come up at board meetings throughout the year.
Library Page
O’Toole moved, Kasel seconded to approve the hiring of Leanna Poppe to fill the library page position. Motion carried.
Staff Recognition
Kasel moved, Kersten seconded to recognize Gale Hoffmann (25 years) and Kathy Sasse (15 years) with flowers for their work anniversaries. Motion carried. Hopefully the presentations could be placed in the Clintonville Tribune-Gazette.
Innovative Users Group
Kasel moved, Kersten seconded to join Innovative Users Group at a cost of $70, running from July 1, 2006 to June 30, 2007. Motion carried.
Teacher Cards
Director Mitchell informed the Board that teachers are being issued two cards – one for personal and one for school use, using OWLS guidelines.
Laptop computer & multimedia projector
The Board gave Director Mitchell permission to use the laptop and projector for a presentation at the Wisconsin Association of Public Libraries Conference.
Non-resident Use
A report on non-resident use of the library was sent to the mayor and city council members.
Power Point presentation
Paper copies of part of the power point presentation given to the Rotary April 10th on the library statistics for the past five years were distributed to the Board.
Director’s Evaluation
The director’s evaluation was discussed and completed by the Board. President Belliveau will share the results with Director Mitchell.
Campaign for Wisconsin Libraries
Director Mitchell shared information from the Wisconsin Library Foundation. Buttons and bumper stickers will be available soon.
Legislative Update
The bill for the Common School Fund was vetoed by Gov. Doyle.
The Library Language Bill was signed into law.
