Book Signing
Plans are being considered for an open house in July which would be sponsored by the Friends of the Library. It would include an opportunity to meet area authors and also get gardening information and advice. Area authors, such as Tom Buchholz, Kay Rill, Sanny Oberhauser and others would be able to sell and sign their books. The director will advertise for interested authors and ask for a review copy of their work prior to including an author in the event. The Waupaca County Master Gardeners included an educational segment in their grant for the library flowerbeds. Kathy Akey, Chris Dittman, and Carol Johnson would be available outside to talk about the plants they have put into the flowerbeds. They will be purchasing markers for the flowers so the public will know the name of each plant. In case of rain they will be in the library with information on the plants. The Board would like to see this program take place.

Schoenike moved, Kersten seconded to adjourn at 4:40 p.m. Motion carried unanimously.
