Minutes of the Clintonville Public Library Board of Trustees
March 15, 2006
The regular meeting of the Clintonville Library Board was called to order by Jerry Schoenike at 4:05 p.m. in accordance with Wisconsin Open Meeting Laws and ADA requirements. Cathy Belliveau took charge of the meeting at 4:15 p.m.
The following members responded to roll call: Virginia Federwitz, Ray Kasel, Sandy Loberg, and Jerald Schoenike. Cathy Belliveau arrived at 4:15 p.m.

Kasel moved, Federwitz seconded to approve the minutes of the February 15, 2006 regular meeting as printed. Motion carried unanimously.
Kasel moved, Loberg seconded to approve the Financial Report and Special Accounts Report as printed. Motion carried unanimously.
Loberg moved, Kasel seconded to approve the total expenses, including salaries, in the amount of $52,023.12. Motion carried unanimously.
The Librarian’s Report was discussed and ordered filed. Kasel moved, Loberg seconded to approve the Librarian’s Report. Motion carried unanimously.
Business:
April Meeting
The Library Board will meet as scheduled on April 19th. This is also the date a mobile exhibit on German-American Internment will be at the library opening at 5:00 p.m. Joan Paulson will take part in the discussion panel.
CD Investment
Schoenike moved, Kasel seconded to renew the CD for 19 months at M&I Bank at a rate of 5.10%. Motion carried.
2007-2011 Capital Plan
The 2007-2011 Capital Plan was approved as presented with the addition of $8,000 for shelving in the adult area in the year 2007.
Receipt Printer
Kasel moved, Schoenike seconded to purchase a receipt printer for Gale’s work station at a cost of $325. Motion carried.
Building Needs
The city has a committee looking at all city-owned buildings so a plan for the future can be developed. It was suggested to look at the purchase of the lot at 9th St. and Clinton Ave. for possible expansion needs.
Director Evaluation
This was laid over to the April meeting.
InfoSoup Demonstration
Director Mitchell gave a demonstration of the new online catalog and databases available in the library and on its website. A bookmark and brochure about InfoSoup were given to board members.
Legislative Update
Information on legislation affecting libraries was presented.
Kasel moved, Loberg seconded to adjourn at 5:40 p.m. Motion carried unanimously.
