Staff Recognition
Cathy Belliveau presented Gale Hoffmann and Kathy Sasse with certificates and ivy plants in recognition for their years of service to the library.  Gale has 25 years of service; Kathy, 15 years.  A min-reception was held in their honor.

Election of Officers
Kasel moved, Kersten seconded to keep the present slate of officers.  Motion carried unanimously.  Officers are Cathy Belliveau, president; Jerald Schoenike, vice president; and Virginia Federwitz, secretary.

Technology Plan
Schoenike moved, Loberg seconded to adapt the technology plan as presented.  Motion carried unanimously.

Tree Replacement
The Public Works Department will be removing the tree stump in the parking lot flower bed.  The Waupaca County Master Gardeners are anxious to begin work.  The Board would prefer to replace the tree with a tree that is relatively small and meant for an urban area.  A suggestion was made to have all the trees trimmed and checked with Dick Writt’s help.

Carpeting
Half of the carpeting is scheduled to be replaced in 2006 and half in 2007.  It was suggested to do this near the year’s end into the new year perhaps shifting the money allotted from 2006 to 2007.  Due to Director Mitchell’s conflict of interest, Mike McCord could be asked to organize the bid-letting process.  The City Facilities Committee will tour the library in the near future.

Library Website
Director Mitchell gave a presentation on the new library website designed by the OWLS staff.

Substitute Position
Kersten moved, Loberg seconded to hire Larissa Holbrook for an on-call, substitute position.  Motion carried unanimously.

Schoenike moved, Kasel seconded to adjourn at 5:20 p.m.  Motion carried unanimously.
