Minutes of the Clintonville Public Library Board of Trustees
Clintonville, Wisconsin
January 16, 2008
The regular meeting of the Clintonville Library Board was called to order by Cathy Belliveau at 4:17p.m. in accordance with Wisconsin Open Meeting Laws and ADA requirements.
The following members responded to roll call: Cathy Belliveau, Virginia Federwitz, Ray Kasel, Sandy Loberg, and Joan Paulson. Excused absent were Tom O’Toole and Jerald Schoenike.
Others present: Kathy Mitchell.
Citizens Forum: No citizens present
Moved by Kasel, seconded by Loberg to approve the minutes of the December 12, 2007 regular meeting as printed. Motion carried unanimously.
Moved by Loberg, seconded by Kasel to approve the Financial Report and Special Accounts Report as printed. Motion carried unanimously.
Moved by Paulson, seconded by Kasel to approve the total expenses, including salaries, in the amount of $35,194.20. Motion carried unanimously.
The Librarian’s Report was discussed and ordered filed.
BUSINESS
Carpet Project
Director Mitchell gave a report on the carpet project. One Aramark rug was lost during the project but the library was not charged for it. There were a couple trouble spots, gaps by vents and edging in corners, that Torborg’s is working to remedy to the library’s satisfaction. The security gates were not re-installed as they were not functioning well.
Kasel moved, Loberg seconded to pay Gail Hoffman $25.00 to recover a chair in the workroom which was damaged to the carpet laying process. Motion carried unanimously.
Scanner and Receipt Printers
Kasel moved, Loberg seconded to purchase one scanner and two receipt printers for $790.00 through OWLS. Motion carried unanimously.
Vacuum Cleaner Replacement
Kasel moved, Loberg seconded to purchase a new 18” Versamatic vacuum cleaner for $694.00 from this year’s capital budget. Motion carried unanimously.
WLA Legislative Update
Director Mitchell passed out the WLA State Legislative Agenda for the 2007-2008 Biennium. This includes legislative priorities for 2008 legislative action as well as legislative policy statements concerning legislation the WLA supports and opposes.
Moved by Kasel, seconded by Paulson to adjourn at 4:40 p.m. Motion carried unanimously.
